The outgoing yet eccentric 'S.P.D. Green Ranger' who always seen wearing leather gloves to dampen his empathic powers, Bridge is one of the original three B-Squad Rangers along with Syd and Sky. He is also the first known Jewish Power Ranger. Because of his eccentric personality, many people dismiss Bridge as not being too bright due to his habit of using adjectives as sentences, most famous being his use of the word "Buttery" when trying to offer toast to his teammate Z, with whom he developed a firm friendship, and whom he seems to admire. She seems to admire him back, as she was the one who defended him when Sky blamed him for Syds confusion. However, Bridge has shown in numerous situations that he possesses a great deal of intelligence, which he credits to his habit of standing on his head. (He also gave a reason to Boom one episode saying, like blood, the ideas go to his head quicker and absorbs them quicker). He appears slow at times but is a master mechanic and computer genius, and showed a high level of detective insight when he took down the bank robber Hydrax. He also acted as mentor for D-Squad Cadet and cyborg Sophie.
Like the rest of the B-Squad Rangers, Bridge possesses super-powers. Bridge's powers are the psychic ability to detect and trace the location of evil. However, in order to use these powers, Bridge must remove his leather gloves and use his bare hands to focus the power (which can be a clue of why Bridge is shown to be wearing leather gloves 24-7, so as to keep his power under control). Bridge has also shown signs of limited precognitive powers, in the form of visions in his head when he sleeps, and in one episode was shown picking up on people's thoughts.
His assigned S.P.D. number is 3, later 2, then 1.
At the end of "Endings, Part 2", Sky was promoted to Red Ranger after Jack left S.P.D. and Bridge was promoted to 'S.P.D. Blue Ranger'.
In
In the episodes ''Once a Ranger I and II'', Bridge Carson was brought to 2007 by the Sentinel Knight to be part of a new team of Rangers (alongside Adam Park, Tori Hanson, Kira Ford and Xander Bly). Since the SPD series, Anubis "Doggie" Cruger was promoted to Supreme Commander when Fowler Birdie retired, bringing about the subsequent promotions of Sky Tate to Commander of S.P.D. Earth, and Bridge to B-Squad's leader as the 'S.P.D. Red Ranger'. He is still shown to enjoy vast piles of buttery toast.
Trivia
★ Bridge embodies the traits of two members from Dekaranger, Sen/DekaGreen (his counterpart) and Jasmine/DekaYellow (having ESP-like powers).
★ In one episode, Bridge reveals that he was born on an airplane and over the international date line. According to Bridge "I was actually born the day before I was born."
★ So far Bridge is the second ranger in all 13 series of Power Rangers (after Tommy Oliver) to wear 3 different colors. Green for all episodes up to "Endings Parts 1 and 2" Blue in "Endings Part 2" and Red in Operation Overdrive's "Once a Ranger Parts 1 and 2". Though he was never seen morphed as the Blue Ranger. His colors were all from the same Power Rangers series (S.P.D.) whereas Tommy's colors were from 5 different series (Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo, and Dino Thunder).
★ As of Once A Ranger, Bridge is the third person in S.P.D. to hold the status of B-Squad Red Ranger and the second to be B-Squad Blue Ranger. He is also the second Green Ranger to later wear red, the first being Tommy Oliver, although neither Bridge nor Tommy directly wore red after green as both of them had a color between their respective green and red colors and the second Blue Ranger to wear red, the first being Schuyler "Sky" Tate.
