2007 Flooding

Portions of Bronxville are in a flood zone. In early 2007 a nor'easter caused many places in Bronxville to flood extensively. Many homeowners were forced to evacuate and students did not return to the public school, located on a former swamp (the school's address is on the well-named Pondfield Road), for two weeks. No students are allowed on the first floor and, as of September, 2007, the school is still being worked on.
