'Brookfield' is a small village to the west of Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland.
It is known locally as 'the seven street city', however several of the thoroughfares are in fact roads or lanes, so the description is not entirely accurate. The creator of the video game Chuckie Egg, Gregory Moorlock, credits Brookfield's Chuckie Lane as being the inspiration for the name. It was also Home to Donald J Malcolm (1925-2003) Founder & company chairman of W.H. Malcolm Ltd One of Scotlands Biggist Haulage Contractors.
