CALLIE THORNE


'Calliope "Callie" Thorne' (born November 20, 1969 in Massachusetts) is an American actress best known for her role as Sheila Keefe, the 9/11 widow of Jimmy, who was the cousin of Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) on ''Rescue Me.''
Thorne studied Theatre and Dramatic Literature at Wheaton College in Massachusetts and at The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
Most recently, she was featured in the David Wain original short series "Wainy Days" in a memorable role.
In addition to ''Rescue Me'', she has had guest spots on such series as ''ER'' (2005 - 2006), '' (2004), '' (2003 - 2004), ''The Wire'' (2002 - 2004), ''Prison Break'' (2006), and others.
In 1997 and 1998 she also appeared as Det. Laura Ballard on the television series ''.
She has also had many small roles in film and TV movies as well, but did have a starring role in ''Chocolate For Breakfast'' in 1998.
Thorne has also done work on stage, such as in the off-Broadway play ''The Country Club'' (1999), with Cynthia Nixon in New York City. Additionally, she appeared with Eric Bogosian and Sam Rockwell in ''The Last Days of Judas Iscariot'' (2005), directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman.
