'Canadian Valley Technology Center' is a public career and technology education center with two main central Oklahoma campuses in El Reno and Chickasha and a satellite campus under construction between Mustang and Yukon. Canadian Valley is part of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system. The school offers tuition-free daytime career training to high school students. The school also offers daytime and evening career training and short-term continuing education classes for adults (for a fee). Its Business & Industry Services division conducts customized training for area companies. The El Reno campus opened a college-prep Pre-Engineering program in 2006-07 and launches a Biomedical Technology (or pre-, pre-med) program in 2007-08. Demand for additional training in the nursing fields has prompted the Chickasha campus to offer two sections of Practical Nursing training, which prepares students for careers as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
