CANON EOS 5D

The 'EOS 5D' is a 12.8 megapixel digital single-lens reflex (SLR) camera body produced by Canon. The EOS 5D was announced by Canon on August 22, 2005, and fits in above the EOS 30D but below the EOS 1D Mark II N and EOS-1Ds Mark II in Canon's EOS digital SLR model plan and price range (though the 20d and 30d surpass it in some measures of performance, such as frame rate).
The EOS 5D is notable for being the first full-frame DSLR camera with a standard body size (as opposed to the taller, heavier "professional" camera body style). It is also notable for its price, introduced at just over $3000 USD or £2000 GBP, which sets a significant new low price point for full-frame DSLRs (its only competition, the Canon 1Ds series of cameras, costs more than twice as much).
The full-frame capture of the 5D allows for relatively low-noise photography at high ISOs. This allows users to take pictures in low light, and also captures high levels of detail in the shadow areas of bright frames.
