CAPITOL AIR LINES

Original name was Capitol International Airways operating military charters and cargo charters since 1946.
Operating DC8s of all series, Capitol went "scheduled" with de-regulation. During this time Capitol International Airways changed its name to Capitol Air.
With a JFK hub Capitol operated domestically, to Europe and the Carribean. As finances became rough, CA obtained some Airbus 300 for a short period of time, shutting down in 1984.
Later the name and certificate were purchased and operated B727 aircraft out of Florida for a very short period of time.
