Crocodiles are vital for maintaining healthy wetlands: they by controlling predatory fishes and by dig out channelsging them out to ensure a constant water supply even through the dry season. Siamese crocodiles are also sacred to a number of ethnic minorities in Southeast Asia. They are not man-eaters, but prefer to feed on smaller prey, especially snakes. Most of the surviving Siamese crocodile population inhabits Cambodia's remote Cardamom Mountains.

The makeshift riverferry is about to depart the western shore at rivercrossing # 3 on the route from Koh Kong to Phnom Penh. Some aged truck engine, obviously a Diesel is coughing to propel the ferry and its load to the eastern shore. It was one of the last days these riverferrys are in operation, The new bridge spans the river already, but Cambodia's Political Leaders haven't fount the time yet to officially open it for the traffic. Ferryservices along the entire road cede to exist after May 1st 2008
