CARL W. HERGENROTHER
'Carl W. Hergenrother' is an American astronomer.
Working with the Catalina Sky Survey and other colleagues, he has co-discovered a number of comets and asteroids.
He also discovered one long-period comet, C/1996 R1 (Hergenrother-Spahr), and three periodic comets, 168P/Hergenrother, 175P/Hergenrother and P/1999 V1 (Catalina).
The Asteroid 3099 Hergenrother is named after him.
