CARLY SCHROEDER

'Carly Jayne Schroeder' (born October 18, 1990) is an American film and television actress, known for playing Serena Baldwin, the daughter of Scotty Baldwin in the ''General Hospital'' spinoff, ''Port Charles''. She also had a recurring role on the Disney Channel's ''Lizzie McGuire''. In 2007, she is playing the lead in ''Gracie'', a film inspired by a real-life tragedy during the childhood of actors Elisabeth Shue and Andrew Shue.

Schroeder was born in Valparaiso, Indiana;and resides in Ventura county CA she has a younger brother, Hunter. At the age of three, she began appearing in print advertisements in Chicago and subsequently worked in television commercials. Her appearance in a Shake 'N' Bake ad caught the attention of actor Kin Shriner, who in 1997 arranged for her to play his daughter, Serena Baldwin, in the daytime drama ''General Hospital'' and then its spinoff ''Port Charles''.
She guest-starred as "Melina Bianco", Jake Thomas's friend and one of his sidekicks in ''The Lizzie McGuire Show'' and ''The Lizzie McGuire Movie''. Schroeder appeared in the well-reviewed 2004 independent film, ''Mean Creek''. Consequently, she was cast as "Sarah Stanfield", the daughter of Harrison Ford and Virginia Madsen's characters in the film ''Firewall'', which opened in February 2006.
In 2007, she is playing the lead character in ''Gracie'', a film inspired by the real-life story of Elisabeth Shue and Andrew Shue as children, dealing with the death of their brother.
