CARRICK-ON-SHANNON
'Carrick-on-Shannon' () is situated in County Leitrim in Ireland on the County Roscommon border. The population of the town was 3,163 in 2006 [1]. It is the largest town in County Leitrim.

As its name implies the town is located on the river Shannon which is linked to the Erne via the Shannon-Erne Waterway.
