Born on the French Caribbean Islands of Guadeloupe, Catherine was raised in Paris, France where she completed her studies.
She made her début in the haute couture world at an early age, working as a model for famous ateliers.
A group of producers noticed her in a disco and launched in the entertainment world in 1989. From here she launched a music career of lip-synching to pre-recorded Black Box music tracks in both music videos and live performances. Despite claims to the contrary, she has never contributed musically to any of Black Box's hits.
