CAUTO RIVER

''The 'Cauto River' or 'Río Cauto', located in southeast Cuba, is the longest river of Cuba. It flows on a total length of 343 km (213 miles) from the Sierra Maestra to the west and north-west, and enters the Caribbean Sea north of Manzanillo. However, it provides only 120 km (75 miles) of transport waterway.Water is not as drinkable as that of the Almendares River. It is home to a rare creature called an 'Ostaladygish.'
