CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER AREA

The 'Central Savannah River Area (CSRA)' is a metropolitan area encompassing five counties in the U.S. states of Georgia and South Carolina. All five counties in the area border the Savannah River, and the largest cities within the CSRA are Augusta, Georgia and Aiken, South Carolina.
According to the 2000 Census, the Augusta-Aiken metropolitan area had a population of 477,441, making it the 87th largest in the nation and second largest in the State of Georgia. Cities and towns within the CSRA include:
