CERANO

'Cerano' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 km northeast of Turin and about 14 km southeast of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,792 and an area of 32.1 km².^[1]
Cerano borders the following municipalities: Abbiategrasso, Boffalora sopra Ticino, Cassolnovo, Magenta, Robecco sul Naviglio, Sozzago, and Trecate.
The Renaissance painter Giovanni Battista Crespi, is known as ''il Cerano'' because he resided here.
