CHARLESTON WV METROPOLITAN AREA


The 'Charleston WV metropolitan area' or the 'Charleston Metropolitan Statistical Area' is the largest metro area in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The Census 2004 population estimate has the metro area with a population of 307,763 people in 5 counties. Before the 2000 Census, Kanawha and Putnam were the only 2 counties that made up the Charleston MSA.
