CHARLTON, NORTH WILTSHIRE, WILTSHIRE
'Charlton' is a small village in North Wiltshire three kilometres northeast of the town of Malmesbury. It was mentioned in two Anglo Saxon charters. The land belonged to the Abbey in Malmesbury. The village is also mentioned in the Domesday Book.
