Officer that heads the Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ) at Northwood Headquarters, North London.
Rotated between the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, the CJO is responsible for the planning and execution of UK-led joint, potentially joint and multinational operations, and for exercising operational command of UK Forces assigned to multinational operations led by others.
