CHINCHOLI
'Chincholi' (Kannada:ಚಿಂಚೋಲಿ) is a panchayat town in Gulbarga district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is also the headquarters of the Chincholi taluk.

Geography
Chincholi is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 462 metres (1515 feet). The town is spread over an area of 6 sq. km.[2]
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[3] Chincholi had a population of 17,158. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chincholi has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 65% and female literacy of 46%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Chincholi Taluk borders the following taluks of Gulbarga district: Gulbarga Taluk to the west, Chitapur taluk to the south-west and Sedam Taluk to the south. It also borders Homnabad Taluk of Bidar district to the north and Tandur taluk of Rangareddi district of Andhra Pradesh to the east.
