CHIRICAHUA MOUNTAINS

Chiricahua Mountains

The 'Chiricahua Mountains' are a mountain range in Arizona, USA, and are part of the Coronado National Forest. The highest peak is Chiricahua Peak, which is 9759 feet above sea level [1]. The Chiricahuas were home to the Chiricahua Apaches, including Cochise and Geronimo.
Erosion has created mountain ridges covered in stone spires and stone columns that rise up out of the forest. These natural features are preserved in the Chiricahua National Monument.
