CHRISTOPHER JUDGE
'Douglas Christopher Judge' (born October 13 1964 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor of African American and Cherokee Indian descent. He attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship, and was an all Pacific Ten Conference player.
One of his first roles was in a 1990 episode of ''MacGyver'' with future Stargate co-star Richard Dean Anderson. Judge is best known for playing Teal'c in ''Stargate SG-1''. He has written several episodes of ''Stargate SG-1'', most of which deal with crises for his character. He has also done voice acting for animated series and video games, including the voice of Magneto on '' and the canceled ''. In the season eight episode, "Avatar", Teal'c informs SG-1 that he plays ''Def Jam Vendetta'', alluding to the fact that Chris Judge was a voice actor in that game.
He is the only original ''Stargate SG-1'' cast member who has yet to appear in the spin-off series ''Stargate Atlantis'', although he will be appearing in Atlantis' fourth season (yet to be filmed). He has also appeared in more episodes of SG-1 than any other actor or actress, having appeared in every episode of the series except for the season eight episode "Prometheus Unbound".
Judge provided the voice of Zodak on the revived ''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' cartoon. The 2002 redesign of (the originally caucasian) Zodak as an individual of African descent could arguably have been intended to pay homage to Judge, but this is unlikely as the series was based on the revised toyline designed well before Judge's likely casting, and the specific physical resemblance to the actor is minimal.
His best friend is his ''Stargate SG-1'' co-star Michael Shanks, who plays Daniel Jackson.
He is engaged to model and actress Gianna Patton. They welcomed their first child, Chloe Jolie, on February 7 2005.
He has four children: Christopher, Cameron, Catrina and Chloe.
