'Christy Gaylord Everest' is the chairman and chief executive for the Oklahoma Publishing Company, which publishes ''The Oklahoman''. This major metro newspaper has been owned by her family since before the Oklahoma statehood in 1907. She formerly was the chairperson of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents.
