The 'Church of God International' is a splinter group of the Worldwide Church of God.
The group was created in 1978 by Garner Ted Armstrong (1930-2003),^[1] the son of the founder of the Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong. After some sexual impropriety,^[2] Garner Ted Armstrong was removed in 1998.^[3]
The group produces a television program called ''Armor of God''.
The group has churches in the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Ireland, Australia and the Philippines.
