History


Clarion University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1867, specializes in preparing students for professional careers in fields such as education, business, and science. Clarion enrolls more than 6,500 students and offers over 90 degree programs.

University Experience


The university enrolls around 6,500 students during any given semester, most of whom come from Western Pennsylvania. The borough of Clarion has a population of about 6,200 and has received recognition for its Autumn Leaf Festival,towards which the University lends much help.

Financial Aid


Eighty percent of Clarion's students receive some type of financial aid.

Other Locations


The University maintains a regional campus, Venango Campus in Oil City, and a site in Pittsburgh at West Penn Hospital. Clarion also offers an extended studies program featuring online courses, remote sites, and various hybrid learning situations.
