CLEVELAND INTERNATIONALS

The 'Cleveland Internationals' are an American soccer organisation, originally founded in 1976 by a group of soccer players who graduated from college, and who still wanted to play competitive soccer. The team is a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, and play in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference against teams from Chicago, Detroit, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids, South Bend and Toronto.
The Internationals play their home games at Coughlin Field on the grounds of St. Edward High School in the city of Lakewood, Ohio, 6 miles west of downtown Cleveland. In 2007 they also played selected games at the stadium on the grounds of John Carroll University in the city of University Heights, Ohio, about 9 miles east of downtown Cleveland. The team's colors are white and blue.
Today, in addition to the PDL team, the Internationals organisation maintains clubs in the USL W-League and the Super Y-League, as well as more than 22 youth soccer clubs.
