CLIFTON, BEDFORDSHIRE

'Clifton' is a village in the English county of Bedfordshire. It was historically one of the nine hundreds of Bedfordshire.
Clifton is a vibrant village, becoming increasingly popular due to its good transport links and proximity to Arlesey with its railway station. It has been voted as Bedfordshire Village of the Year in 2003 and 2005, and fosters a good community feel.
Clifton was visited by the Queen and Prince Philip on 17 November 2006 as part of a visit to reopen Samuel Whitbread Community College.
There are many facilities located in Clifton including the All Saints Church, Clifton lower school, a butcher, a post office, two local pubs and a large playing field with community centre. Samuel Whitbread Community College is also located in the village of Clifton although it is nearer to the town of Shefford.
