COLIN MOULDING

'Colin Moulding' (born Colin Ivor Moulding, on 17 August, 1955, in Swindon, Wiltshire, England) is a founding member of the new wave/rock/pop group XTC, in which he is the bassist and secondary songwriter and vocalist. Though overshadowed by leader Andy Partridge, he has written many of the group's most popular songs, including its first two UK hit singles, "Life Begins at the Hop" and "Making Plans for Nigel", and their first US chart entry "Generals and Majors" (which peaked at #104 in 1980).
Moulding contributed five tracks to the album ''Skylarking'' and four each to ''Go 2'', ''Drums and Wires'', ''English Settlement'' and ''Nonsuch''. XTC has been inactive since the release of the 2000 album ''Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume 2)'', with Moulding declining to participate in Partridge's Fuzzy Warbles project. In February 2007, Partridge told music website Pitchfork Media he had lost contact with Moulding, who he said was "not interested in music anymore, and doesn't want to write." [1].
