COLLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT

The 'Collin County Community College District' is a community college district which serves in Collin County, Texas, north of Dallas. Founded in 1985, the district has grown as the county has grown: from around 5,000 students in 1986 to over 41,000 in 2007.
The college was renamed as "Collin College" as of Summer 2007, there are also plans to build a new campus in Farmersville and a four year university campus in Mckinney of off US-75 & future Toll road 121.
The Mckinney campus (Central Park) will undergo a major expansion and the current building will be renovated and the new look of the campus will feature a mulitstory car park. A library bigger than the Preston Ridge's version it will be 73.500 sq feet which will be a replica of the "University of Virginia's" library. The aim is for the central park campus to be the flagship campus of "Collin College". They broke ground on Aug 28th at 5pm though the building work isn't expected to start until sometime in October 2007.
The school features six campuses in Allen, McKinney, Frisco, two in Plano and one in Rockwall, which is actually located in neighboring Rockwall County, not Collin County. These schools are:
