'Collingwood' is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Abbotsford (despite its name), on the Epping and Hurstbridge railway lines. It is in Metcard Zone 1.

The station is located at the southern end of the Stanton Street rail overpass. Collingwood Town Hall is a short walk from the station.

Facilities


The station consists of two evelated side platforms. Platform 1 contains a large weatherboard building while platform 2 contains a small weatherboard building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.
Both platforms can be accessed via Stanton Street.

History


Collingwood station opened on Monday, 21st October 1901 as Collingwood Town Hall. It was renamed Collingwood in 1909.
