★ From 1833 - 1885 Barbados was part of the Windward Islands ''(with the governor of Barbados also being governor of the Windward Islands)''

★ Saint Lucia joins in 1838 and remains until 1960.

★ Barbados exits in 1885, Grenada becames the new seat of Governor until 1960.

★ Tobago exits the windward islands while-under Grenada in 1889, after joining in 1833.

★ In 1940 Dominica exits the neighbouring Leeward Islands, and joins the Windward Islands until 1960.

★ Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines were in the union longest from 1833 until 1960.
The Windward Islands comprised the present-day independent states of Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Tobago.
