COLUMBUS PARK (CHICAGO)

'Columbus Park', located on the west side of Chicago, Illinois in the Austin neighborhood, is bounded by West Adams Street, South Austin Boulevard, South Central Avenue, and the Eisenhower Expressway, to which it lost nine acres when the expressway was constructed. The remnant park is part of the Chicago Park District, and contains a small golf course and a lagoon. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark on July 31 2003.[2] It is considered one of "150 great places in Illinois" by the American Institute of Architects.[3]
