'Concan' is a small community in the southwestern part of the
Hill Country of
Texas. It sits along the
Frio River and is a popular destination for summer vacationers. It is also well-known for the excellent
Birdwatching in the spring-time .
The name "Concan" may have originated from the card game
Conquian.
