Brother Noah Gave Out Checks For Rain - "Coon Song"
This song is one of the many so-called "Coon songs" that was sung by Arthur Collins. Even at the time when this record was made, "Coon Songs" were a dying breed, and by the end of WWI, the genre died off completely. (Thank Goodness!) This particular copy has some areas where it doesn't play very well, due to double-grooves. Patience is key when enjoying recordings from this era, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it in spite of the crass racism, and poor sound quality of this recording.

Coon - 4 demo snippits
Hey, Here are 4 unreleased demo songs I haven't finished yet. I would love your opinion on these songs, and whether I should finish them. I would love to hear your comments. #1: Good-Better-Best, urban R&B song #2: Blame the Music, dance song about girls that lose their charmes on the dancefloor #3: Integrity: etnic urban bootyshake song. About girls that shake booty and call themselves artists. #4: Fair, slow pop ballad, about disappointments in life. I would love to hear what you think about these songs. Coon.
