In addition to the $50,000 from State Farm, he also scored a $390,000 check from Erie Insurance Group for the same accident. The federal fraud trial against Joyce will begin October 20th, Statements about the in-line skating are highly probative in this case because they show Joyce engaging in physical activity during the relevant time period in the indictment, Assistant U.S.Attorney Christian Trabold said in a court filing. A grand jury in August 2007 indicted Joyce on three counts of mail fraud and six counts of money laundering, all felonies. Joyce has pleaded not guilty. Senior U.S. District Judge Maurice B. Cohill Jr. moved the trial from Erie, Pennsylvania to Pittsburg because of pretrial publicity. |

 | Eurobasket 07 - Serbia vs Russia 03/09 03 September 2007 Russia Overwhelm Serbia If someone had any doubts about Andrei Kirilenko's performance in this EuroBasket after a sub-par NBA season, then the opening night of EuroBasket sent out a big message. The Russian forward led his team to a key 73-65 win in the tournament's opener against Serbia on Monday night in Granada's Group A game. Kirilenko finished the game with 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and drew seven fouls, but every play he made was in the best timing to keep his team on the winning side. Serbia had a bad shooting night. Darko Milicic was shutdown by a great defensive team effort by Russia, and was representative of Serbia's poor shooting, connecting on just two of his 13 shots. His front line teammate Zoran Erceg converted only a single free throw shot of his six attempts to symbolize Serbia's poor form from the line (58%). Russia stormed the court from the first moment to take a 9-0 lead after three minutes, before Marko Jaric scored the first points for Serbia. Russia's team play was on display from the very beginning as four players shared the first 11 points of the team. Kirilenko collected seven points by the end of the first quarter when his team took a 21-13 lead, but didn't think about stopping. Serbia couldn't find any answer for the aggressive Russian defense and by the 13th minute David Blatt's guys were already doubling Serbia's points, 31-15 after J.R. Holden connected a mid range shot. That was when the Russian machine took a rest. For the next 5:20 Russia added only three points, all from the charity stripe, but Serbia was still struggling and used that to reduce the game to only 10 points, 34-24. Another small push by Serbia made it just a six point game, before Nikita Morgunov sealed the half with a key mid-range shot, not his last in the game, to make it 38-30 after two quarters. After shooting only 37% from two-point range and a miserable 43% from the line in the first half, Serbia was still down by only eight, and had a reason to be optimistic but the first minutes of the second half changed that feeling. Milos Teodosic hit three points from the line to make it just a five point game, and then Kirilenko stepped up. He accounted for four points in a row, drew the third foul from Zoran Erceg and with a downtown arrow capped a 10-0 run to make it 48-33 after 25 minutes, only to see his team fall asleep again. Teodosic hit another three pointer to start a Serbian 13-0 run, and make it just a two point game, but now it was time for Kirilenko to step up again. With two minutes to go in the third Milan Gurovic missed a three pointer that could have give Serbia the first lead of the night, and saw Kirilenko show how to do it with an and-1 play, and the gap was back to five, 51-46, on the way to a 54-48 Russian lead with 10 minutes to play. With the game slowly running away Serbia made one last effort. Russia held a 70-63 lead with 1:38 to play when Milicic posted up, but once again Kirilenko came for the help and blocked his shot away. Morgunov, once again, was there to hit the clutch shot, this time from long range, to make it a ten point game and decide the game. "If we don't win tomorrow then today's win means nothing," said Russian's coach, David Blatt referring to the game against Israel that can secure Russia a spot in the next round. Boehner said, An initial review of federal records shows ACORN affiliates have received at least $31 million in direct federal funding from American taxpayers over the past 10 years, and millions more indirectly through state and local agencies that receive federal block grants. In conjunction with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and its political allies in the Democratic Party, ACORN also played a key role in creating the financial crisis that ultimately put our entire economy in peril. Its time for us to stop forcing American taxpayers to fund the ACORN machine. Obama is now downplaying both his historic and his existing ties to ACORN. Having never explained his ties to terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, among others, ACORN is just another in a long line of radical affiliations Obama has not fully disclosed. ACORN is a group Obama once worked for as a community organizer and trainer, a group he represented as an attorney in court, and a group he allocated funding to while serving on the board of the Woods Foundation under the mentorship of terrorist Ayers. While in the Illinois State Senate and now in the United States Senate, Obama worked to allocate funding to ACORN. It was written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant at Page's house in Malibu, California where they stayed for a month while Plant recovered from a serious car accident he had sustained in Greece in 1975. The song was then recorded at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany. "Achilles Last Stand", at 10 minutes and 25 seconds, is the third longest studio recording released by Led Zeppelin (after "In My Time of Dying" at 11:06 and "Carouselambra" at 10:34). It is famous for John Bonham's powerful drumming, John Paul Jones's galloping bass line (played on a custom-built Alembic eight string bass) and Jimmy Page's overdubbed orchestral guitar arrangement (the dozen or so guitar tracks having been recorded in Munich in a single session). It is also known for its dramatic, epic guitar solo which is considered by many to be among Page's best. It has similar qualities to a song in the speed metal genre. Jimmy Page applied vari-speed during production of this song to speed it up, one of the few times he employed that device in the studio for Led Zeppelin songs. It has been suggested that the title of the song was an acknowledgment of Plant's broken ankle, which he suffered as a result of his car accident. Lyrically, the song was inspired by Plant's experiences in Morocco, where he and Page travelled following Led Zeppelin's 1975 Earl's Court concerts. Plant specifically refers to Morocco's Atlas Mountains in the line: "The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the Earth". This is a double-meaning to imply the Atlas mountains in a physical sense seeming to hold up the sky, as well as the reference to the Titan Atlas and his task to hold up the sky on his shoulders and thus separate it from the Earth. Plant's lyrics were also inspired by some of the poetry he was reading at the time, which includes William Blake. "Albion remains/sleeping now to rise again" is a reference to Blake's engraving The Dance Of Albion. The following is an excerpt from the poem that goes with the song: Albion rose from where he labour'd at the Mill with Slaves. Giving himself for the Nations he danc'd the dance of Eternal Death. Albion is the most ancient name of Great Britain. Jimmy Page has been quoted as saying that "Achilles Last Stand" is his favorite Led Zeppelin song. Though Page initially expected that he would need to use his Gibson EDS-1275 double-necked guitar to play the song live, he realized that it was possible to use the Gibson Les Paul (or occasionally a red Telecaster).
