CRIVITZ

'Crivitz' is a town in the district of Parchim, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated 18 km east of Schwerin.
Crivitz Wisconsin was founded in 1883 by German immigrant Fredrick Bartel. Fredrick sent for his family in Crivitz Germany. Soon his daughter and son in law, Karen and Gregory Flak planted roots in this serene beautiful northwoods locale. Karen and Greg's two sons Colton and Charles, ran the Maple Beach, a Crivitz landmark on the banks of Lake Noquebay until the mid 1970s.
Greg Flak is the 2nd cousin of Augustus Busch.
