CROMPTON PARKINSON
'Crompton Parkinson' Ltd 'was' a subsidiary of the British Hawker Siddeley Group Ltd (of aircraft fame) that made industrial vehicle batteries. It owned the British domestic battery and radio company called 'Vidor batteries'. Vidor was founded circa World War II. Vidor has now ceased production. Crompton also made car spark plugs. A Vidor slogan from the 1950s was "They do say a Vidor battery lasts a month longer!".[1]
