'Croxley Station' is a
London Underground station at
Croxley Green in the
Three Rivers district of
Hertfordshire. It is on the
Watford branch of the
Metropolitan Line. It was renamed Croxley probably not to confuse itself with the now closed
Croxley Green railway station.
The only intermediate station on the branch, Croxley lies between
Watford, (the terminus) and
Moor Park on the main line from
Baker Street to
Amersham. It is in
Travelcard Zone A. The southbound platform at Croxley is unusual in that it has no station starter signal.
The station is situated on the corner of Watford Road and Winton Drive in
Croxley Green.

Link to Watford Junction
The
Croxley Rail Link is a proposal to divert the Watford Branch east of Croxley to
Watford Junction station. In
2005, plans were approved to link the line through Croxley which terminates at
Watford station, via a deviation to the much more important station at
Watford Junction. Intermediate stations would be built or rebuilt at
Ascot Road tube station (near the old
Croxley Green station),
Watford West railway station and
Watford High Street railway station.
