CYCLOBALANOPSIS
'''Cyclobalanopsis''' is a genus of about 150 species of flowering plants in the family Fagaceae, native to eastern and southeastern Asia. The genus is closely related to ''Quercus'' and included in it as a subgenus by many botanists; however, the ''Flora of China'' treats it as a distinct genus. The species share the same common name 'oak' with ''Quercus''.
They are evergreen trees growing 10-30 m tall. They are distinct from ''Quercus'' oaks in that they have acorns with distinctive cups bearing concrescent rings of scales; they commonly also have densely clustered acorns, though this does not apply to all of the species.
