''Dan Abrams''

'Dan Abrams' (born May 20, 1966) is the chief legal correspondent for NBC News, former host of ''The Abrams Report'', and the current General Manager of MSNBC. Before joining MSNBC, Abrams was a reporter for Court TV, and he has continued his legal reporting on MSNBC. Currently, Abrams hosts Live with Dan Abrams Monday-Thursday at 9pm.
Abrams graduated from Riverdale Country School in 1984, from Duke University, cum laude, with a degree in Political Science in 1988, and from Columbia University Law School in 1992. He anchored the newscasts aired on Cable 13 when he was at Duke.
Abrams has also published articles in the ''New York Times'', ''USA Today'' magazine, ''The American Lawyer'', and the ''Yale Law and Policy Review''. On June 12, 2006, Abrams was named General Manager of MSNBC, following Rick Kaplan [1]
His father is Floyd Abrams, the prominent First Amendment attorney. He dated actress Elisabeth Röhm from 2003 to 2005. Abrams was diagnosed with and treated for testicular cancer[2] in 2003, avoiding chemotherapy through a series of surgeries.[3] He is a vegetarian.[4]
