DANIEL GAUTHIER
'Daniel Gauthier' (born 1964 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian designer of over 100 freeware TrueType fonts, and is based in Hamilton, Ontario.
Gauthier's work draws inspiration from vintage comic books, television, and horror films, and also from corporate and rock band logos.
Despite three marijuana-themed fonts - ''Sweet Leaf'', with letters shaped like marijuana leaves; ''Spliffs'', with letters shaped like rolled cigarettes; and ''Potland'', a parody of Daisyland, with marijuana leaves replacing the flowers - Gauthier insists that he is not a user of the drug, and that the fonts were created for friends.
