Dr. 'Daniel S. Papp' is the current President of the Kennesaw State University (KSU), a position he has held since July of 2006.

Dr. Papp is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs in 1969.[1] In 1973, Papp received a Ph.D. in International Affairs from the University of Miami.

Career


Early Career

Dr. Papp's first position in academia was as an Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech in 1973.1 Papp also has held visiting and research professor positions at Fudan University, in Shanghai, China; the Center for Aerospace Doctrine, Research and Education at the U.S. Air War College, in Montgomery, Ala.; the Strategic Studies Institute at the U.S. Army War College, in Carlisle, Pa.; and the Western Australia Institute of Technology, in Perth, Australia.[2]
In 1990 he became the founding director and professor for the Georgia Tech's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. Papp remanded a Professor at tech until 1997 when be was appointed interim president of Southern Polytechnic State University.2

Most recent before becoming President at KSU, he was the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academics and Fiscal Affairs to the University System of Georgia.
