'Danny Dyer' (born 24 July, 1977) is an English actor and television presenter.[1]

Biography


Danny Dyer was born in Canning Town[2] and is proud of his roots and is still based in East London together with his family. He is a fan of his local football team West Ham United. Dyer has two daughters with his childhood sweetheart, Joanne; Dani (whose name he has tattooed on his arm in Chinese characters) and Sunnie.
Early acting career

Dyer was spotted at his local Sunday school by an agent who auditioned him for the part of Martin Fletcher in the acclaimed Granada Television series ''Prime Suspect 3'' (1993). At the age of 14 he was given the part and found himself working alongside Helen Mirren.[3] He had brief appearances in ''Cadfael'', ''A Touch of Frost'' and ''Loved Up'', and made appearances in the television series ''Thief Takers'' (1996) and ''Soldier Soldier'' (1991).[4]
Major film appearances

Dyer's first major film appearance came when he landed the role of Moff in the clubbing film ''Human Traffic'' (1999). More TV, film and theatre work followed and the actor's work was seen in the Channel 4 drama Second Generation, directed by John Sen; Mel Smith's film 'High Heels And Low Lifes'. Dyer has starred in all four films by the British director Nick Love: ''Goodbye Charlie Bright'' (2001), ''The Football Factory'' (2004), ''The Business'' (2005) and ''Outlaw'' (2007).
Theatre

He has appeared on stage in both London and New York, notably in plays by Harold Pinter: ''Celebration'' at the Almeida Theatre and a revival of ''No Man's Land'' at the National Theatre.[5]
TV

Dyer is the presenter of the popular British TV show on Bravo ''The Real Football Factories'' and ''The Real Football Factories International'' where Dyer travels around the UK and Europe looking at the top firms and clubs.[6] He also starred in Skins as Michelle's stepdad Malcolm.[7]
Video games

Dyer was featured in 2002's best-selling video game, '' voicing Kent Paul and in 2004's best-selling game, ''.[8]
