DARREN LANGDON

'Darren Langdon' (born January 8, 1971 in Deer Lake, Newfoundland) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey left winger. He was undrafted but signed his first pro contract in 1993 with the New York Rangers. He has also played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, and New Jersey Devils.
Langdon was never drafted into the NHL. He played Newfoundland Senior Hockey and one season with Summerside in the Maritime junior league. Langdon began his pro career with Dayton of the ECHL and then onto Binghamton of the AHL, farm team for the New York Rangers.

Langdon has stated in an interview by The Telegram that his career with the NHL is over, citing his age. His contract with the Devils expired in June, 2006 and is not expected to be renewed. Langdon has played in 521 NHL games. ^[1]
Langdon and his wife Jillian have four children, three of them being triplets.

Langdon is now a member of the Deer Lake Red Wings, a team in the Newfoundland West Coast Senior Hockey League.
