DARTMOUTH FORENSIC UNION

The 'Dartmouth Forensic Union' or 'DFU' (IPA pronunciation: ) is the policy debate team of Dartmouth College, and is considered one of the strongest debate teams in the United States.[1]
Dartmouth has won six National Debate Tournaments, most recently in 1993. At the NDT, Dartmouth has had four second place teams and eleven semi-finalist teams. Dartmouth has had at least one first round qualifier (a team in the top 16 nationally) to the NDT for 25 years running.
Ken Strange, the head coach since 1980, was named Coach of the Decade for the 1980s,[2] and awarded the prestigious George Ziegemueller Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2000.[3]
Dartmouth also hosts the Dartmouth Debate Institute (DDI)[4] and Dartmouth Debate Workshop (DDW) (formerly the Dartmouth Juniors Workshop (DJW)), both of which are summer programs for high school policy debaters.
