DAVE DEROO
'Dave DeRoo' (b. September 3, 1974), nicknamed "Big Meat" or simply "Meat", is the bassist for the Hard Rock/Nu Metal band Adema.
He was raised in Bakersfield, California. His father, Doug Deroo was a popular local radio deejay.Dave was once in the band Sexart with Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis and Ryan Shuck, the guitarist for the band Orgy. Shortly after Davis went to form Korn and Ryan left to join Orgy, Deroo and the remaining members went on to form Juice. While in that band he would meet future band mate, Tim Fluckey. Then later on, the two would leave the band to join Mark Chavez in Adema.
DeRoo still performs and writes with Adema. He, Tim, and Kris Kohls are the only remaining original members of the band. Prior to hiring Bobby Reeves, he stated that Adema was considering to remain a three-piece band. They are writing and recording a new album as of Aug. 2006. Dave Deroo uses Ernie Ball Music man "Stingray 5" basses; Ampeg amps, & Shecter guitars.
He preformed his first concert outside of the USA this past summer when he and his band played at a local night club in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.
