DEAN SCHOFIELD
'Dean Schofield' (born 19 January 1979 in Audenshaw, England) is a professional Rugby union player who plays for Sale Sharks. He plays Second Row/Lock and is a product of Aldwinians RUFC. He first came to prominence when scoring twice as Aldwinians beat Dudley Kingswinsford in the NPI Cup Final at Twickenham.
Nicknamed "Audenshaw's Finest", Schofield is a destructive player as his stature may hint. He is 6ft 5in (1.96m) tall and weighs 18 stones (114kg). He is a fans' favourite for his no nonsense approach to the game, never taking a backwards step and his all-round commitment on the pitch.
The England manager, Brian Ashton, announced that Schofield is in included in the England tour of South Africa.
