History
Deep Blue's identity is shrouded in mystery until volume six of the manga and episode 49 of the anime, where it is revealed that, like the Blue Knight, he is part of Masaya Aoyama. Unlike the kind and gentle Masaya, Deep Blue is cold, cruel and will not hesitate to hurt Ichigo, or anyone else.
Manga
After Deep Blue's awakening, the Mews had no choice other that fight him. When he tries to kill Ichigo Momomiya, he's stopped by Kish who challenges him to a duel. Deep Blue wins, but Masaya releases the Mew Aqua inside their (his own) body by stabbing himself with his own sword, reversing the damage caused by Deep Blue and defeating the alien's leader.
Anime
Deep Blue's voice is first heard on episode two, and in episode six Kish reveals his name to the Mew Mews.
Up until episode 26 Deep Blue only appears as a mysterious blue light,In episodes two through five, before his name is revealed, he appears in the ending credits as , with a question mark in place of his VA name. Later, during the first half of the series, he appears in the credits as , but the question mark stays. In the second half of the series he is not mentioned in the credits until his identity is revealed in episode 49, along with Megumi Ogata's name. when Kish talks to him about the progress in their mission. After Kish manages to bring some Mew Aqua from Mew Ichigo's attack to the aliens' dimension, Deep Blue's true form was partially revealed, and in later episodes he is shown as a shadow.
At the time when the aliens release the previous Chimera Animas upon the city to distract the Mew Mews, Ichigo goes to stop them from attacking Masaya. When Kish tries to steal Masaya's spirit, it doesn't work, and when Mew Ichigo arrives, Masaya transforms. After turning into the Blue Knight, he goes ballistic and turns into Deep Blue. He easily defeats the Mew Mews who de-transform after blocking an attack heading toward Ichigo. Deep Blue escapes when Ryou Shirogane comes to Ichigo's rescue, and the girl pursues him. She finally goes into a face-off against him trying to get Masaya from within to remember. Ichigo is losing badly until Masaya within Deep Blue begins to fight him until Deep Blue is dead and Masaya is free once Ichigo uses her finishing attack on Deep Blue.
Appearance
He has distinctive long, pointy ears, and his skin is so pale it's almost white. Also he has very long, jet-black hair. He always wears a long, dark blue cloak that goes down to his feet, and he wears dark blue shorts under it. He seems very well-to-do with his appearance and dress.
In the manga, after Deep Blue's control on Masaya is temporarily broken, his ears become normal human ears until Deep Blue's spirit takes over his body once again.[1] In the anime, his ears remain pointy, but his skin color gets darker, closer to Masaya's skin color.[2]
