DELTA STATE

'Delta State' is a state in Nigeria, named for the delta of the Niger River, that was carved out of the former Bendel State in 1991. The capital city is Asaba and Warri is largest city. Delta State's Governor is Emmanuel Uduaghan, a member of the People's Democratic Party.
Delta is an oil producing state of Nigeria situated in the region known as the Niger Delta, and has been the location of much of the Conflict in the Niger Delta
