DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL


'Deptford Township High School' (also 'Deptford High') is a four-year comprehensive community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades, located in Deptford Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The school is part of the Deptford Township Schools.
In 2005, 70% of Deptford High graduates went on to college, according to the New Jersey Department of Education.
The first classes taught at Gloucester County College when it opened in the summer of 1967 were held at Deptford Township High School.

Deptford High School is one of twenty member schools in the Tri-County Conference, which is composed of schools whose enrollments vary greatly for grades 9-12. The smallest one, Clayton High School, has 249 students enrolled whereas the largest one, Williamstown, has 1,343 students.[1]
Deptford's football team won the state sectional championship in 2004 and 2005 under Head Coach Al Orio. The team won the 2004 title with a 28-21 win over Moorestown High School.[2]

2007 is the 4th year of Deptford's NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program.
