DHARMADAM

'Dharmadam' is a small village in Kannur District of Kerala, south India. This place is famous for - 100 year old Brenenn Government College and Dharmadam Island.There is a small railway station in Dharmadam where only the local passenger trains stop.
Dharmadam was earlier known as 'Dharmapattanam' and was previously a Buddhist stronghold.
The Dharmadam Island is loacated 100 metres away from the mainland at Dharmadam.
A temple named AndalurKavu is a famous temple in Dharmadam ,during the festival of this Temple thousands of people used to make their devotions from different parts of Kannur and Calicut District
